"IT'z Different," the debut single of rookie girl band ITZY, topped 100 million YouTube views on Monday, 57 days after its release in February, the fastest any new K-pop band has done so, its management agency said.
The music video of the single surpassed the milestone early Monday afternoon after being uploaded Feb. 12.
It marks the shortest time span ever taken for a new K-pop band to achieve the 100-million YouTube milestone, according to JYP Entertainment.
The five-piece girl band's debut earlier this year made a splash on the K-pop scene, and its first song succeeded in winning local weekly K-pop TV competition shows.
The music video topped 10 million YouTube views in less than 24 hours of its release, making the band the first new group to achieve that feat.
ITZY is the fourth girl group formed by JYP, which has a record of making hits of all its previous female bands. They are Wonder Girls, missA and TWICE.
