Super Junior to perform at Mexican music awards

South Korean boy band Super Junior will perform in an annual awards ceremony run by Mexico's largest music cable-satellite TV channel Telehit this week, the group's management agency said.

The 2018 Telehit Awards will take place at 6 p.m. in Mexico City on Wednesday (local time), according to Label SJ under the wing of SM Entertainment.

Founded in 1993, Telephit is a popular TV channel available all over Latin America and part of the United States.

Previous performers in the annual awards show include the British idol group One Direction, DJ duo The Chainsmokers and DJ Alan Walker. But Super Junior became the first Korean artists that have been invited to the ceremony.

The band will perform its hit singles, such as "Sorry, Sorry", "Mr. Simple" and "One More Time," in front of an audience of about 70,000 during the ceremony. The boys will also sing the Mexican singer Luis Miguel's 1987 track "Ahora Te Puedes Marchar" in Spanish.
