NSW Premier Berejijlian wraps up her first official visit to S. Korea, becoming an honorary Seoul citizen

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has wrapped up her first official visit to South Korea for two days becoming the first Australian Premier to be awarded with an honorary citizenship of Seoul, South Korea.

Mayor of Seoul City, the Honourable Park Won-soon, presented Ms Berejiklian with the citizenship at the Seoul City Hall.

The Hon. Park said it was to encourage active communication and cooperation between Seoul and New South Wales.

“It is an absolute honour to be the first Australian Premier to be awarded with such a citizenship in South Korea,” Ms Berejiklian said.

New 'Seoul Best 100' guidebook to be published

An updated Seoul guidebook will be published by the end of the year to reflect new tourist attractions and public transportation in the South Korean capital, a city official said Monday.

"We've placed an order to make 100,000 copies of the new 'Seoul Best 100' by spending 160 million won (US$140,000)," the source said.

The new 120-page guidebook will be printed in five languages -- Korean, English, simplified and traditional Chinese, and Japanese -- the official said.
